You are here

Dear Hawthorne Families & Community,

Beth LehmanOn behalf of the Hawthorne Elementary School Staff it is my pleasure to Welcome you to the 2020-21 school year!

We look forward to partnering with you on behalf of all Hawthorne Dolphins in our learning community to ensure a rewarding and meaningful school year filled with much growth and progress for all Hawthorne Dolphin learners in our great learning community.   Starting the school year 100% on-line will be a first for most of us.

As a Community School and a school that has always been community minded, we are eager to continue to build community with each and all Hawthorne families and our wider school community, even within the on-line setting of Virtual Learning for at least Qtr 1.   We invite and welcome you to partner with us throughout the school year on-line.

Hawthorne PTA has continued to meet virtually, typically on the 2nd Tuesday of each month 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. even during virtual learning beginning this past April 2020.  Robo emails/calls prior to each month's meeting as friendly reminder which will reflect any date/time change if necessary.   Hawthorne's Community School team also meets monthly, including a cross section of Hawthorne parents and family members, school staff and community members. and also continued meeting during virtual learning beginning last April 2020 as well.  Robo emails and/or calls will be sent prior to each month's meeting to help remind families of meeting dates/time and reflecting any needed changes.

School and district staff have worked throughout the summer and now as we approach the start of the school year to help prepare for strong start to our 2020-21 school year on-line, and continued throughout the school year.  Again, your partnership with us is key to the great success of all Hawthorne learners.

We look forward to seeing you and/or hearing from you on-line in a virtual Hawthorne learning community i.e. Morning Meeting, Literacy or Mathematics lesson, or specials lessons in our Hawthorne Dolphins Learning Community.  Please do not hesitate to contact us via the link at this site, or to call us via our school cell phone @ 608.212.2574 to reach someone from our school office if information you need is not included in the site. We are eager to assist you in any way that we can.
